Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Sung Sot Cave – Titop Island (L/D)

  • 08:00 – 08:30: Pick-up from Hanoi Old Quarter (short break on the way).

  • 11:30 – 11:45: Arrive at Halong International Harbor.

  • 12:15: Embark on Victory Star Cruise by tender. Welcome drink, cruise briefing, and check-in.

  • 13:00: Lunch served while cruising through the limestone islets of Halong Bay.

  • 14:45: Visit Sung Sot Cave – the largest and most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.

  • 16:00: Stop at Titop Island for swimming on the crescent-shaped beach or hiking to the top for panoramic views.

  • 17:00 – 18:30: Sunset party and cooking class on the sundeck.

  • 19:15: Savor a delicious dinner onboard.

  • 21:00: Evening activities – squid fishing, relaxing at the bar.

  • 22:30: Overnight onboard Victory Star Cruise.


Day 2: Halong Bay – Luon Cave – Hanoi (B/L)

  • 06:15: Tai Chi session on the sundeck, watch the sunrise.

  • 06:30: Light breakfast with coffee, tea, and pastries.

  • 07:20: Visit Luon Cave by kayak or bamboo boat rowed by locals.

  • 09:15: Return to cruise, settle bills, and check out.

  • 09:30: Buffet brunch onboard.

  • 10:45 – 11:00: Disembark at Halong International Harbor.

  • 11:15 – 11:30: Return bus to Hanoi. Arrival around 14:30 – 14:45.

Weather-related Policy

All overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Bai Tu Long Bay require official permission from the Bay Management Authority to stay overnight.

If adverse weather (storms, strong winds, high waves, etc.) occurs, the Authority will suspend overnight operations to ensure safety. In such cases, Sundara Vietnam will:

  • Assist with rescheduling to another available date that suits your itinerary, or

  • Provide a refund if rescheduling is not possible.

Important Note
The Authority may issue cancellation notices on very short notice, sometimes even when guests are already on tour.
From August–October, weather is more unpredictable and late announcements are more likely.
