The cruise combines authentic atmosphere with comfortable amenities, offering guests a relaxing way to explore Lan Ha Bay. Activities include kayaking, cooking classes, squid fishing, biking on Cat Ba Island, and swimming at pristine beaches.

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: HANOI – HA LONG BAY – LAN HA BAY (L, D)
08:00 – Pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter/Opera House (if booked transfer).
11:30 – Arrive at Tuan Chau harbor.
12:00 – Tender transfer to cruise, welcome drink, safety briefing, cabin check-in.
13:00 – Vietnamese lunch served onboard while cruising through Ha Long – Lan Ha Bay. Pass Finger Islet, Candle Islet, and limestone formations.
15:30 – Kayaking/swimming at Tra Bau floating village area.
17:00 – Cooking class & Happy Hour drinks.
19:00 – Dinner onboard with local dishes.
21:00 – Night squid fishing, karaoke, or relax on the sundeck.
DAY 2: VIET HAI VILLAGE – CAT BA ISLAND (B, L, D)
06:00 – Tai Chi on sundeck, sunrise sightseeing.
06:30 – Light breakfast with tea, coffee.
08:30 – Transfer to day boat to explore deeper Lan Ha Bay. Visit Viet Hai Village by bicycle through rice fields and learn about local life in traditional houses.
12:00 – Lunch on day boat.
14:00 – Swimming at Ba Trai Dao Beach – quiet and pristine.
16:30 – Return to main cruise, sunset cocktails and music.
17:30 – Cooking class, Happy Hour.
19:00 – Dinner on board.
20:30 – Evening activities: karaoke, music, cocktails, squid fishing, or relax in your cabin balcony.
DAY 3: LAN HA BAY – DARK & BRIGHT CAVE – HANOI (B, L)
06:00 – Tai Chi session on sundeck.
06:15 – Light breakfast with tea, coffee.
07:00 – Visit Dark & Bright Cave – kayak or bamboo boat, admire poetic scenery and limestone karsts.
09:30 – Return to cabin, luggage check.
10:00 – Check-out. Enjoy bay views as cruise sails back.
11:00 – Lunch onboard while returning to Tuan Chau harbor.
12:00 – Disembark and transfer to Hanoi (if booked). Arrival ~15:00.

Weather-related Policy

All overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Bai Tu Long Bay require official permission from the Bay Management Authority to stay overnight.

If adverse weather (storms, strong winds, high waves, etc.) occurs, the Authority will suspend overnight operations to ensure safety. In such cases, Sundara Vietnam will:

Assist with rescheduling to another available date that suits your itinerary, or

Provide a refund if rescheduling is not possible.

Important Note

The Authority may issue cancellation notices on very short notice, sometimes even when guests are already on tour. From August–October, weather is more unpredictable and late announcements are more likely.
