Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tuan Chau – Ha Long Bay – Lan Ha Bay – Tra Bau

• 08:00 – 08:30: Limousine bus picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter, Opera House, or No.16 Thi Sach, Hai Ba Trung (surcharge applies for shuttle bus service from Hanoi).

• 12:00: Arrive at No.34, Tuan Chau Marina. Peony Cruise staff welcome you.

• 12:30: Transfer to the cruise via tender boat, receive itinerary briefing.

• 13:00: Welcome drink, cold towels, and lunch of fresh seafood & delicacies served while cruising to Lan Ha Bay.

• 15:30: Visit Tra Bau area – ideal for kayaking, swimming in emerald water, or relaxing in the Jacuzzi pool onboard.

• 17:30 – 18:30: Join a cooking demonstration (Vietnamese spring rolls) or relax on sundeck to admire the sunset. Happy Hour (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) at the bar.

• 19:30: Enjoy a delightful dinner prepared by the chef.

• 21:00 – 22:00: Relax at the sky bar (surcharge), enjoy spa services (optional), or try squid fishing on the main deck. Overnight on Peony Cruise.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Island – Tuan Chau

• 06:00: Morning Tai Chi session on sundeck.

• 06:45 – 07:15: Light breakfast served while cruising back to Gia Luan Jetty.

• 07:30 – 09:00: Visit Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba Island – a stunning limestone cave with unique stalactites.

• 09:30: Return to the cruise, check out cabins. Brunch served in the restaurant.

• 10:30 – 11:00: Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina. End of trip.

  Weather-related Policy

  All overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Bai Tu Long Bay require official permission from the Bay Management Authority to stay overnight.

  If adverse weather (storms, strong winds, high waves, etc.) occurs, the Authority will suspend overnight operations to ensure safety. In such cases, Sundara Vietnam will:

  • Assist with rescheduling to another available date that suits your itinerary, or

  • Provide a refund if rescheduling is not possible.

  For specific cases, please contact us for personalized support and guidance.

  Important Note: The Authority may issue cancellation notices on very short notice, sometimes even when guests are already on tour. From August–October, weather is more unpredictable and late announcements are more likely.
