Detailed Itinerary – 3 Days 2 Nights
Option 1: 1 Night Onboard – 1 Night in Cat Ba Hotel
Day 1: Hanoi – Tuan Chau Harbor – Lan Ha Bay – Dark & Bright Cave (Lunch/Dinner)
08:00 – 08:30: Pick up from Hanoi Old Quarter (if booked with Dragon Bay Premium Cruise).
11:45: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor.
11:45 – 12:30: Transfer by tender to Dragon Bay Premium Cruise.
12:30: Welcome briefing, safety instructions, and lunch onboard. Cabin check-in.
14:30 – 16:00: Visit Bright Cave by bamboo boat rowed by local fishermen.
16:30 – 17:00: Swimming in the emerald waters.
17:00: Return to the cruise for cooking class, sunset party, and Happy Hour.
19:00: Seafood dinner onboard.
20:45: Leisure activities: squid fishing, karaoke, bar time. Overnight onboard.
Day 2: Viet Hai Village – Kayak in Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Hotel (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
06:00: Tai Chi session, sunrise photography.
06:45 – 07:30: Breakfast onboard.
08:00 – 08:15: Day cruise transfer to Viet Hai Village in Cat Ba National Park.
10:00: Bike ride through rainforest paths, rice fields, and visit a local house.
12:00: Lunch onboard the day cruise while sailing Lan Ha Bay.
13:30: Swim or kayak at pristine beach, then continue to Beo Harbor.
15:00 – 15:30: Transfer to hotel in Cat Ba Island, check-in, free time.
19:00: Dinner at hotel restaurant. Evening free to explore Cat Ba Town or swim at the beach. Overnight in Cat Ba hotel.
Day 3: Cat Ba – Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch)

Meals onboard are served with seafood, Vietnamese and international style. Special requests (allergies, vegetarian, etc.) must be informed at least 1 day before departure.

Weather-related Policy
All overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Bai Tu Long Bay require official permission from the Bay Management Authority to stay overnight. If adverse weather (storms, strong winds, high waves, etc.) occurs, the Authority will suspend overnight operations to ensure safety. In such cases, Sundara Vietnam will:
Assist with rescheduling to another available date that suits your itinerary, or
Provide a refund if rescheduling is not possible.
For specific cases, please contact us for personalized support and guidance.
Important Note
The Authority may issue cancellation notices on very short notice, sometimes even when guests are already on tour. From August–October, weather is more unpredictable and late announcements are more likely.
