Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay

  • 08:00 – 08:30: Pick-up from Hanoi Old Quarter (if booked).

  • 11:30: Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor, check-in onboard.

  • 12:15: Welcome drink, safety briefing, check in to cabins.

  • 13:00: Lunch while cruising to Lan Ha Bay.

  • Afternoon: Kayaking and swimming in crystal blue water.

  • Sunset: Cooking class and sunset party on sundeck.

  • Evening: Dinner onboard, squid fishing, or relaxing.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Hanoi

  • 06:00: Tai Chi session on sundeck.

  • 07:00: Breakfast with tea & coffee.

  • Morning: Visit Dark & Bright Cave by local rowing boat.

  • 09:30: Brunch onboard while cruising back.

  • 11:30: Disembark at harbor.

  • Transfer back to Hanoi (if booked).

    Weather-related Policy

    All overnight cruises in Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Bai Tu Long Bay require official permission from the Bay Management Authority to stay overnight.

    If adverse weather (storms, strong winds, high waves, etc.) occurs, the Authority will suspend overnight operations to ensure safety. In such cases, Sundara Vietnam will:

    • Assist with rescheduling to another available date that suits your itinerary, or

    • Provide a refund if rescheduling is not possible.

    Important Note
    The Authority may issue cancellation notices on very short notice, sometimes even when guests are already on tour.

    From August–October, weather is more unpredictable and late announcements are more likely.
